hello everybody!
Today is the boys' actual due date!

We are finally starting to get into a routine and settling in. The boys are growing like weeds! Max is now 6lbs 15oz and Alex is 6lb 7oz. They are definitely acquiring their own little personalities and becoming little men.

More Double Trouble Pix

Double Trouble at Home!!

Hello cyber friends and family!

We are happy to announce that both green boys are now at home!!!

Alexander Joseph and Maxwell John were born on Monday November 10, 2008. Alex was born at 3:18pm and weighed 5lb 3/4oz (basically 5lb 1oz) and Max was born at 3:25 and weighed 5lb 3 oz.

Max was having some breathing and eating problems so he stayed at the posh UT NICU for a few weeks before being released to come home He does have a monitor for a few months but all seems to be going well!

Alex is rotten to the core from being the "only child" for a few weeks. He is not fond of laying down on his own and would much rather be held (which few people can deny him!! LOL!)

Both boys lost a little weight after birth but are now growing wonderfully.

Keep watching for pictures to be posted and updates given on their growth.

Thanks to all who have kept us in their thoughts and prayers thus far and please keep us there still.

In these pix Alex is in the blue outfit and Max is wearing the red.

hugs from us all!

Any day now.....

Hello cyber friends and family!

Sorry it has been so long since we've posted! It's been a rush and wait game here with these boys!!

We had a short visit to Labor and Delivery this past Sunday and Monday. On SUnday we stopped the TERButiline and boy did the contractions kick in!!! I began active labor and was carted over to Labor and Delivery thininking Sunday would be the day!! I was started on IVs, antibiotics, steroids, and morphine (good stuff!!) to prepare for delivery thinkin git would be in the next 12 hours or so.

The boys had other plans..... My contractions slowed by Monday afternoon and we decided that I could be mover back to my normal room to wait it out.... Good Grief!!!

So right now here's the latest.... I am dilated to 3, completely effaced and my cervix is history. ALex (Baby A) is at Station 0 which means that is he is as low as he can be without waving to us...

It could be any moment/ day now so keep you're fingers crossed for us and send us some prayers.

They've called me for some testing so I'll post some new pix once I get back.

hugs to all!!

Here's the latest....

Hello all you cyber friends!
Missy, Bob and the boys have had a very action packed couple of weeks.
Missy went for her regular OB appt on Friday October 3rd after 2 weeks of bedrest at home. Unfortunately her cervix had thinned dramatically and so the Dr hooked her up toa monitor to see if she was contracting. Boy was she ever! So..... Missy was admitted (with protest!) to the Labor and Delivery ward at Park West hospital. Not what she had planned for her Friday!!!! LOL!
The staff attempted to calm the contractions and Missy had some SERIOUS discussions with Alex and Max. These are very determined babies!! Park West couldn't stop the contractions so Missy had the "pleasure" of riding to UT Hospital Labor and Delivery in an ambulance.... again, nit really in Missy's plans for a fun filled Friday afternoon.
We've been at UT hospital since then and are working hard to keep these boys cooking. They are REALLY making valiant efforts to make an early grand entrance but so far we;ve been able to keep 'em in.
As you know, Missy is not the best candidate for bed rest but has been able to stay sane so far. Nana, Grandpa, Tina, Gina, and Bob have become well recognized on the L&D floor. Missy has also had lots of other visitors, email, and calls that keep her going.
The boys are making fabulous progress in their growth and seem to be very healthy little fellas. The are also huge flirts with all the nurses!!!!

We'll keep you guys updated as we go along!

Uh-oh!

Hello all you cyber folks!
Well... the boys have already started tag-teaming on their mommy! Missy was put on bed rest starting Sept 18 :o(
Her cervix has shortened to 2.2 and the OB is afraid she may go into pre-term labor so she has been banished to the world of bed rest. Missy had to go to the HIgh-Risk Perinatalogist on Sept 19 and he said that she is not releasing any labor chemicals which is good news.
Bob and Missy went back to the OB on Sept 25 and Missy's cervix had stabilized at 2.2 which is still thin but at least it has not thinned any more. That's good news! We're hoping that one more week of bedrest will give it time to thicken and then Missy can get back to living with the vertical!! LOL!!
Hopefully we'll be able to post some more belly pics this weekend. 7 months and still cookin'!

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers (especially Missy who is going BONKERS!!)

hugs from us all!

Lovin' the Luau!!

The much anticipated and long awaited Green Boys Double Trouble Baby Bash Luau was a success! We had well over 100 people come and party with us and the boys on Sat Sept 6. We enjoyed good food, great company, and outstanding gifts! Special thanks goes to those who REALLY made this whole fiesta happen: The Original Twins (Gina and Tina), Aunt Jim and Fairy Godmother Michelle, Nana Liz, Aunt Brenda, Cousin Krista and Krista Cantrell. We missed those of you who couldn't make it but know you were thinking of us! Enjoy the pictures!
